Sleep and a snuggle

I am exhausted. I came home from work this afternoon and crawled right into bed. My little furry snugglekins joined me, and I have been there for the last two hours. For whatever reason, I can't manage to catch up on sleep. I know I haven't been sleeping well, which I assume is because of stress. I've also been working long hours because I have class in the middle of the day. So I'm in the office 10 hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and some Fridays; other Fridays I work from home and that's been a blessing. I'm in the office by 7 am most days, and other days I work from home starting around 6:30 and get into the office by 8. I have a doctor's appointment this week, so I think I'll have some bloodwork done, just to be sure that my thyroid hasn't gone berserk.

So! Now that THAT unpleasantry is out of the way, (wait, one more unpleasantry to dwell upon--I finally received comment spam, bah!), on to one of the aforementioned little furry snugglekins. We recently received a box that had a larger black box inside. I put the box on our dining room table to unpack it. The other day I was walking by and I heard scritch, scritch. Imagine my surprise when I turned around to see this:
What? What you lookin' at, Mr. Drummond?
Oh great. I bet you're going to make me get out, huh?I'm patrolling for invading mice! Yeah! Can I stay in now?Pleeeease can I stay in the box?

Eventually Casper came out (miracle of miracles, without knocking anything over!) and then came to snuggle me in bed. Which brings me back to subject of bed. Headed back there now. Love the bed.
