Getting better

Things are looking up here on the health front. Friday I found out that my blood levels are therapeutic, meaning I can ditch the injectable blood thinner and be pill-only for now. Yay no more needles in the stomach! I'm quite happy about that, since it turns out I'm allergic to the additive they put in the syringes as a preservative, and now I have bruises and welts all over my tummy. I'll never be a bikini model, and it was getting to the point where I was running out of places to shoot up on my stomach. I'm no size 2, so you know it had to be bad.

I took a walk this weekend! Yesterday afternoon we walked to lunch up on 2nd Ave and then walked through the Market to grab some tea and wine on the way home. I'm definitely getting better in that I can walk now without panting, but walking a whole one mile round-trip wore me out so much that I was in bed last night at 6 pm. So, getting better, but the docs weren't kidding when they said it would be a few months until I am back to normal.

Tonight we went to see the Ind!go Girls concert at the zoo. Ah, June in the northwest, 55 degrees and drizzling through the show. But Sarah, Scott and I had fun, and that's what matters. So I'm off to bed, since I had to walk more than a few blocks to get to the concert, with "Galileo" happily strumming in my head. Have a good week y'all.
