Tickley Toes
I went to get a pedicure today. I understand that many people find this to be a relaxing indulgence. But it's a bit torturous for me because 1) I have a thing about people touching my feet and 2) I am ticklish. In a bad way. I can't do anything more than an express pedicure, and even that gets me going.
The lady was very nice and accomodating and understanding. The experience was something like this:
"Gee, you have a son, that's great. How old is he?"
Don't kick her in the face. She's clipping something, don't twitch. Oh dear there's going to be blood. Should I tell her I'm A+?
"Oh, 9 months. What a cute age."
Maybe I can leave now. They're nice and shiny with the bottom coat. That's enough, right?
"Trying to walk! How cute!"
I wonder if I can tip you enough to replace your front teeth when I finally lose it.
But I made it through. My toes are a cute candy pink, I'm happy to report that Darcy will go home to her son tonight with all her teeth, and this means I don't have to do this again for at least 6 weeks if I keep using top coat.

Ok, this might be stating the obvious, but is there a reason you don't just paint your own toes? I'm also not too crazy about people touching my feet, which is why I always do it myself. I've gotten a total of two pedicures in my life. (And one was for my wedding.)
Manicures, on the other hand? Love them.
I'm a total klutz, so every pedicure I've tried to do myself has ended up with nail polish on the floor and my foot along with lots of cussing.
The lure of the manicure is enough to make me stop biting my nails.
Oh, I always end up with it all over my feet too. But you know, if you wait until the polish dries, you can soak your feet in warm water (or wait until the next time you shower, whatever), and after your skin gets softened by the water, you can just peel it right off.
Spilling it on the floor is another matter. Not much I can say to help there, except maybe keep your foot & the bottle of nail polish on a stack of paper towels. :-)
