Count Casperla

Our little white ghost cat is suddenly more vampire than poltergeist. Apparently knocking stuff over all night is not enough. He has taken to curling around our heads in the middle of the night, sleeping on the unoccupied parts of the pillows. You might think, "that is so cute!" It is. Until Casper wants to be fed. And then, CHOMP. Right into your scalp. At about 5 in the morning. Sometimes you're lucky and he only chews on your hair. Or you are very unlucky, as I was last night, and he got me in the back of the neck. I have no idea why he has started doing this, other than it's an effective way of getting us up and about. But "up and about" at 5 am for us is more like "kicking him out of the bedroom." Here's hoping that we'll get him to stop this behavior, or we'll have to start wearing dog scent around our necks.

I vant to suck your blood. Or suck down some Fancy Feast.

Teenie went through a phase where she did this too. She still likes to sleep on my pillow sometimes, but she hasn't attacked my head in years. Maybe it's just something they outgrow?

That would be nice. Casper is only 2, so I really hope he outgrows this behavior. And learns to chill out.
