My cat hates me
Oh, the rabid hatred involved in medicating a feline.
Mr. Sampson hates his meds. Haaaaaaates. He's on three different medications. Two are 3x a day, one is 2x. They're compounded with tuna so he doesn't taste the nastiness, but one of the meds, flagyl, is really potent and really bitter. So my guess is that it tastes like nasty tuna.
Behold, my rabid kitty after medication:
Don't try to appease me with water chasers or long-necked oral syringes. I will get even when you are least prepared...oh yes...HATE.
Behold my new favorite hateful cat, courtesy of mycathatesyou dot com. Thank you, sbj, for yet another website to distract me during my workday.
I am off to prepare the homestead for our friend N, who's heading in from LA. Yay, visitors! Yay, long weekend! Have a good one y'all.

Awww poor thing. They're a clever species cats, more observant than bloody drunken humans who get their drinks spiked and can't taste it, and know when there is something not quite right with their tuna fish!
You might want to ask your vet if there's something they can do to make it more "cat-friendly". Teenie is the worst about taking medications, and getting her to take a pill is absolutely impossible. So once when she hurt her paw, the vet gave me her pain meds in liquid form that had been flavored to taste like something she liked. (I sniffed it, I think it was liver.) She literally lapped it off the end of the medicine dropper, and then started gnawing on it for more when it was gone. My little junkie kitty.
For what it's worth, I've had to take the human version of flagyl for my own tummy issues, so I can sort of feel Sampson's pain on that one. It's not pleasant. (Although I managed to avoid foaming at the mouth. Barely.)
