Brought to you by the number nine

About 6 weeks ago I took the graduate entrance exam. I had gone to an info session for the program, so I knew the minimum I needed to hit on each of the sections. My biggest worry was chemistry, since that minimum was more than double above bio, math, etc.

I got my scores yesterday. Holy. Crap. Get this--I scored in the 99th percentile. I can't believe it. I had good scores in all of the sections, but I really lucked out, because my math score was really high and that pushed the overall composite over the top. I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for calculus.

Now I can work on finishing up the rest of my application. I had been holding off because I was nervous that if I didn't hit the mins, I would be wasting my cash. Woo hoo, break out the credit card for application fees, I'll be dorking out this weekend! Have a good weekend y'all!

You should be so proud of yourself. Way to go. What are you going for? (I am sure I could find out from reading all the archives...)

Really--way to go!!

Thank you! It's for pharmacology and a PhD in medicinal chemistry (fingers crossed). I'm hoping to do drug research and end-of-life patient care.

Wow again...and I was psyched about law school. ;)
My mother-in-law is a hospice nurse, and has been for quite a few years now. I find anything anyone does to make a person's final days in this life better, very admirable.
You cracked me up today again--is it so RETARDED that an institution of higher learning, that would quickly flag your application for a mistake about years in school, etcetera, makes it almost impossible to fix said mistake? Grrr. That really chaps my ass. (Doesn't that saying make you laugh?)
Have a great night, and really, congratulations on your excellent scores!
