Why do I have bangs?
You'd think I would know the answer to that question.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that I had a longish stump of hair growing from my forehead. Similar to bangs, but a bang, maybe 2% of what you'd expect during a hair session in which you end up with bangs. Here's the weird part: I have not asked for bangs; in fact, I'm overdue for a haircut. So WTF? I just have a weird stump of hair growing from the front of my head?
This morning I woke up to Sammy's face in my face. That's not unusual, since he is an obese monkey kitty and I am the Guardian of Sustenance. However this morning I woke up to hear chomp, chomp, pull, chomp. I opened my eyes, and Sampson is eating my hair. Hell, he's fighting with my hair, making grunting piggy noises, pulling it out my scalp at an alarming rate and also breaking strands of hair as he goes. Strands of hair, as it turns out, that are growing out of the front of my head.
Holy crap. My cat has been eating my hair while I sleep.
When I got up, I realized now instead of a single stump of hair, I now have a few stumps. Sampson the Hair Clearcutter has taken another chunk out of the front of my hair.
Now I don't know what to do--wait until it grows out? I don't want bangs, so I really don't want to even it out by getting bangs. But now the front of my hair is uneven and after this morning's buffet feast, it's more noticeable. Any suggestions are appreciated. Friggin' cat.

Suggestions:
1. Sleep with one eye open. Also maybe switch your hair-care products to a scent that is not so cat-tempting.
2. Talk to a reputable stylist about how to (in the immortal words of Tim Gunn) make it work.
(Said by the girl who actually got bangs a couple of months ago, and who still hasn't decided if she likes them or not.)
lol. I'm sorry. That's the funniest story I've heard in a long time. :)
Wear a football helmut! lol
You need to write a book....your blog always brightens my day....thanks!
One of my friends suggested that I start sleeping with a hairnet. He'd probably just eat through that, though. Although a hairnet PLUS a nightguard...rrrowr, sexy nighttime Cara!
