Damn, this weather has been insane. I would like to say that all of my musing about maybe buying a house out in the country? Ha. HA HA HA HA. Not happening. No, not now and not ever. I like my electricity, my Internet, and my heat. I feel sorry for the folks who are going on day 4 without power, and some have no water as well. There are a large number of people with carbon monoxide poisoning, and there's a gasoline shortage starting. This weather is amazingly bad.
On to happier news. Have I mentioned how much I love Vancouver? It's a great city. Even better, we have a slight edge over the Canadian dollar, so my shoes were cheaper than they would be in the U.S. I got a cute, cute, koohhhute pair of black pumps with a chunky heel, curved toe with a cute bow. That is my happy news; new shoes!!
Here's hoping everyone gets power back soon and people stay warm and safe. Happy Monday y'all.

Yep, count us among the lucky folks without heat, electricity and water. You sure you don't want to trade houses? I'll even include 3 cats in the deal. And a generator. :-)
No thanks on the trade, but y'all are more than welcome to come stay with us. Bring your cats! We'll have a half-dozen; it'll be a party. Um, does your family arrive soon? Please tell me they have hotel reservations.
They're arriving on Friday. And they're staying with us. Or at least that's the plan for now. If we don't have power back by Wednesday or so, I'll probably be scrambling to find them a hotel.
