Vote on what I do next weekend!
The big event of the weekend was the concert we went to last night--we saw T0ad the Wet Spr0cket! The last time I saw them, I was in college, and my friend Greggie and I drove up to see his sister at Colgate for the concert. Oy vey, it was the drive from hell (snow, flat tire) and we ended up eating at a BigBoy/Denny's/Crappy's in Scranton, PA while the garage next door fixed our tire. At Crappy's, where although we assured the very nosy woman seated next to us that we were *not* together "in that way", she proceeded to quiz us about our non-existent sexual relationship throughout our meal although we ignored her and talked loudly to each other about how much we hated nosy people.
Mmmm, Scranton. My grandmother is from Scranton. Have I mentioned how much I don't miss that town?
On to the concert report. Toad was fabulous, M@rc Broussard also played, and so did Los L0nely B0ys, plus the Low-downs. It was a really fun show, and it was held in a large, beautiful county park, so that was the up of the weekend.
Another up! We might go out to Montana this weekend to see the bestest bud, who is in Missoula. Steffers thought that she was going to be in Billings. Well, Billings is practically in the Dakotas. Then it turned out that they're going to be in Missoula, which is right over the Idaho line. Much easier to get to, much less of Montana to see!
Reader participation time! Should I drive 7 hours to Missoula, then turn around the next day and drive 7 hours back? Pros: a potentially scenic drive; I get to see Steffers and Bobby; I get to see Idaho and Montana. Cons: it's 14 hours in the car over 2 days; I'm having some health difficulties; I get to see Idaho and Montana. Thoughts?
A happy week to y'all, and to all a good night!
