Painfully awake

Does anyone have a memorization scheme they'd recommend to me? I'm trying to memorize a bunch of drug names, and my busted ol' brain doesn't work so well. For example, similar names don't stick, e.g. ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, and ceftazidime. I'm trying tricks and mnemonics but I think the bottom line is: old and busted.

Oh well.

On a brighter note, if you have been to Hawaii, then what is your favorite island? If you could go to Oahu, the Big Island, or Maui, which would you go to and why?

Never been to Hawaii, but I'd like to go to the island where they film "Lost," because it looks amazing.

And no useful mnemonics for anything that complicated. Yikes, woman, what have you gotten yourself into with all this pharmacology stuff?

There are times I wonder what I am doing in this graduate program. I keep telling myself that it's because I want to do hospice oncology. But now, I really just want to go to sleep.

I think I want to go to the Big Island next, because there's volcanoes there. Go lava!!!

Yeah, lava's cool. There's an active volcano in Costa Rica that erupts about 40 times a day. We're totally going there. We're trying to find a hotel where we can see the volcano erupting at night.

Never been to Hawaii... it's on the list for someday, though.

I'm totally going to Hawaii since we'll be right in CA. After nursing school...someday....

I don't have any useful mneumonics either....hell, if I did I wouldn't be suffering so much with phys. But if you come up with any let me know b/c I have to take pharmacology this summer. Hang in there!

I have no useful tricks, but I do have a useful (well, useful-seeming, because I haven't tried it yet) website that is semi-related:

http://quizlet.com/

Maybe a fancy Web-based flashcard system would help?
