We're baaack
Oy, what a trip. We had a great whirlwind of a time. Wednesday we flew overnight and then spent Thursday bleary-eyed in NJ. Friday was Philly. Saturday, Amish country. Sunday, Washington DC. Monday, Amish Country. Tuesday, Philly suburbs and then off to our flight in Jersey. Which, of course, was delayed a super-long time so we ended up back here in the middle of the night. I could use a vacation to recover from vacation.
After getting a few hours' sleep, I arrived, bleary-eyed again, to the office of my new dentist. I was told (joy!) that I need a root canal. And the dental work I had done two months ago? Cracked already. So after the root canal and subsequent crown on that tooth, I then get to have my fillings carved out and new ones put in, assuming those teeth are not root canal-ready. Joy! Have I mentioned how much I love dental work? No? You can imagine how happy I am especially since I don't like to take painkillers. Joy!
That is a bit stressful. For even more stress, the wedding planning is in full gear. Oh my GAWD y'all, we are getting married in just over six months. We have a looong list of stuff to get done. Crap. Craaaaaaap. So in all the hubub, for now I am focusing on shoes. I've been to the Nordie's website, Payless, and of course Zappos. Any other recommended websites? I'm getting a bit desperate because I need to find shoes for my bridesmaids in a bunch of different sizes, also some narrow and some wide.
Not to end on a downer note, our happy news is that Sammy spent a good week at the vet! He is healthy and happy to be back at home. Casper is still batshit crazy, and much more affectionate, which is what happens after leaving your baby boy home for a week with the fine, fabulous, petsitting buddy to whom you owe at least a few drinks.

I got my wedding shoes from Zappos; I ordered like 5 or 6 pairs so I could try them all on at home. I love that "free shipping on returns" policy.
I'm afraid I can't help you much with the bridesmaid issue. I didn't pick the dresses or the shoes, I let them handle all of that themselves. I only had 2 bridesmaids (my sister and my best friend), and I didn't want either of them to hate something that I picked out, so I told them that as long as they coordinated with each other, I was cool with it.
Oh, and my condolences on the root canal. I am such a weenie about all mouth/dental problems, that sounds like absolute hell. I can't even get a regular cleaning at the dentist's without drugs because I'll have an anxiety attack. This is why I've been flossing and brushing like crazy for the past 8 1/2 months and praying that I don't need to go until after Baby Girl is born, so I'll be allowed to have drugs again. :-)
