Burfday joy
Why hello! How are you? Me, I am doing mighty fine. Today I am officially out of the 20s and into my 30s. To celebrate my big day I have let my true colors show and been myself. That's right y'all, I have spent the day being a big dork, studying for the two exams I have this week, one of which is in medicinal chemistry, which makes my knees knock because I am terrified of all things organic in the chemistry realm.
But! Knowing that I am a dork and that I stress, hubby did a major fabuloso job taking my mind off of exams yesterday by taking me out for an awesome night on the town. I spent my last night of 29 at a 4-course champagne dinner at one of my favorite restaurants (note: lots of champagne, delicious food, and a vodka "palate cleanser" which served to push me from buzzing to drunk) followed by an evening at the W hotel and then I woke up to a delicious breakfast and a diamond necklace (note: the necklace wasn't for breakfast). Yes, hubby does know how to be nice to a stressed-out wife. I am a lucky, lucky lady.
So, to recap: I am now in my thirties, I wore the silver shoes below to Guido's wedding, Guido's wedding was fabulously fun, we danced our keesters off, I spent a bunch of time with the Lanky-town contingent, I'll never fly Northwest again, and I really miss the east coast. I hope all of you are doing great; back to the books!

Sorry I'm late, but happy 30th birthday! Sounds like you guys had a great time in spite of school stress. :-)
Nothing like exams to study for to help ring in 30! Happy Birthday!
