UW, you so funny!
This is a story about how the irrational university bureaucracy system sucks.
Today our heroine went online to look for a class to replace her crappy bio grade. All of the classes listed are full or not offered this quarter. But I found another class! Woo hoo, only 2 credits, fits into the schedule! Sign me up!
This afternoon I went online to check my tuition statement. $3100!!! Whaathehell happenedyoustupidsystem?!@#?? Turns out that a 2-quarter-graduate course bumps tuition up from $950 (for 5 credits) to $3100 (for 7 credits). 2 quarters more, $1200, $600 per credit. Um, Princeton wasn't that damn expensive, and no offense to the UW genomics program, but it ain't Princeton.
So I did what any sane, rational person would do when s/he wants to get into grad school. I dropped the damn class and decided to save the money to go on honeymoon. Then I went out for drinks with co-workers, and now I'm at home studying Sudoku.
The end.
