Kids are cute, but...
Signs I'm not ready to have one of my own:
1) I balk at the thought of not being able to eat out whenever I'd like to do so;
2) "Whaddya mean I can't take a baby into a bar?"
3) I don't think most kids would do well on long flights to Thailand, Australia, or Europe;
4) I like to sleep. A lot.
While I adore Stephen and we're having a great visit, this is a great reminder that in the choice of a kid vs. a dog, I am still firmly settled on the side of a dog. At least you can tie them up outside of the bar without getting into trouble.

Hee! I like to say that when you go on vacation you can leave your dog at the kennel but I suppose they'd frown on putting kids in one.
The important thing here is realizing that you aren't ready and aren't forcing yourself to walk down that road prematurely. Good for you!
