Dude, where's my no-doze?
OK, y'all, maybe I need to sleep in for a few weeks.
I worked from home for a few hours this afternoon. I fed the cat some soft cheese (how fabulously yuppie is that?), which I'm sure will help his intestinal problems. I got a totally kick-ass, hysterical package from my rawkin' sister-in-law-2-B. I stared at the wall, trying to remember where I left my cell phone. Then I figured out that I can call my cell phone and it will ring. Duuuude. Give this girl a gold star. Or a Vivarin. You'd think I'm stoned all the time by the way I'm acting but I'm really not. Seriously. I think.
So, stoned, munchies, segue into my next rambling, and that's cookbooks! I've started reading cookbooks because I don't have the attention span for much else. I'm on desserts right now (and why not start there, hmmm?) and I do like the fruit desserts by Chef David. A lot of the other desserts are pretty labor intensive for someone who doesn't like cakes (me!) or white chocolate (me!). Let me clarify: cakes can be good; they are not evil, unlike white chocolate. White chocolate is the bastard child of good food, a good cross gone bad, like okra or gefilte fish. It's a food that has such potential (chocolate) and then it got all ooky (white chocolate). So if you can get past his use of white chocolate then his recipes are all yummy scrummy and go get some-y. OK, that's all for now. Good night! I'm going to go bother Scott. Because, you know, I can.

I'm a dark chocolate girl myself, and I totally agree with you on the white chocolate thing.
Although, white chocolate isn't even chocolate. It has cocoa butter, but does not have chocolate liquor or cocoa solids. And some cheap white chocolate doesn't even have cocoa butter. It's just made with vegetable fats. Yuck.
