Countdown has started
I am super anxious for tomorrow. I'm going to be in line when the polls open at 7 am. Our country's eaten enough dookie for the last eight years, so here's hoping enough of America agrees tomorrow to vote Barack into office.

After canvassing yesterday I was feeling pretty optimistic. Then today, after manning the bake sale table at our church (a polling station) and overhearing all the Repub's talking about their feelings about the candidates, I'm feeling very nervous. There seemed to be more R's than D's at that particular polling place, which I wasn't expecting. I thought Jenkintown was a pretty liberal town. Hrm. Very anxious indeed.
I have made myself a rum punch and I'm watching CNN. I'm also trying to not soil myself. I remember watching Florida go blue in 2000 while I was on an elliptical trainer in a gym, thinking Gore won. Blech. I wish I had some freaking Valium.
I was debating on either getting very drunk tonight, or staying sober so I could take an over-the-counter sleep aid later. We don't have any vodka in the house (curses!), so that's out. But I'm thinking tylenol PM won't be strong enough. I'm going to need to break into my emergency stash of xanax.
CNN just this minute called Ohio for Obama. Praise the baby Jesus, y'all, I'm starting to think that we might just have this one in the bag.
Done with the rum punch. I've moved on to cherry hard cider. Benadryl is fine to mix with alcohol, just fine, BTW. 25 mg will help you sleep, and won't kill you when mixed with booze.
I love that you know it's ok to mix benadryl and booze. I mean, it doesn't help me because I still have no vodka, but thanks for the tip, which I'm sure I'll use for future reference. You're so handy with information like that. :-)
Always stay away from Tylenol, Vicodin, and serious painkillers. 25 mg Benadryl is fine. I'd stay away from 50 mg because you'll be super-sleepy the next day. Non-fatal ethanol and med mixtures, that's what I'm here for. :-)
