Sammy knows best

I had 2 finals today, and both were kind of hellish. The first was definitely more so; it was one of those exams when the prof tossed you a compound and just expected you to know it. Pharmacokinetics was not nearly so rough on me. But I'm now done, and planning a trip to Rome! Can you feel La Vita Dolce? Well, neither can I, so I don't blame you.

Last night I had a lot of trouble sleeping, and Mr. Sammy curled up to me, placed his forehead against mine, and just purred. I have to say, if that can be bottled in a remedy, let's call it zolpidem-2 or whatever, it works. I fell asleep instantly. Whenever I woke up, I would see Sampson's eyes open, and then he would purr, and I would fall back asleep. No joke. I could lend my cat out as a sleep aid, but I need him for myself. Who knew that Sampson could detect worry/insomnia/restlessness? Either way, I'll take it.

Who knew so much goodness could be disguised in a Williams-Sonoma bag? Good boy. Mommy will bring you back briny sardines from Rome.
