How do these Petfinder people do it?

I'm trying to write up a post for Mayor McCheese. It's going about as well as can be without a cocktail for inspiration, because I just do not have the creative juices for bullcrap like I did when I was younger. In college, I was the editor of one of the campus newspapers, and I could come up with great editorial changes on the spot. Now, I'm trying to figure how to say, "doesn't pee on the floor" and it finally came to me that that the phrase I was searching my brain for was "house-trained." Oh, yeah! 5 minutes to come up with that. Blech.

The other difficult thing is trying to make Lucas stand out. He's got the face of a Maine coon and the body of a tabby, with a squirrel tail. He's playful but shy, sweet but standoffish, cuddly but also rabidly energetic at times. How do you put all that together in an ad that will catch someone's attention? Yeesh.

Oh, have I mentioned that he doesn't pee on the floor?

Hmm. Well, first of all, in any posting about a pet, I would avoid the term "rabidly." Try personifying him. Pretend you're trying to sell Hef. Like, "Handsome as sin, with furry face and bushy tail that can put a few nuts away for the winter...a cuddly bachelor with a sassy 'tude when the mood strikes"? Hmm.. Maybe this is harder than I thought.

Well, there's always a PHOTO.
