Cat tail coffee

I had a conference call at 7:30 am on Friday. I decided to stay home and take the call there, since I was still bleary-eyed and half-asleep. I made a nice, hot, strong cup of coffee, then sat down in front of the computer and logged in. Casper got up on my lap and made a general nuisance of himself for a few minutes, then lost interest since Mommy was obviously doing something that didn't involve food.

A few minutes later, Casper bounded back up onto the desk. My call had just begun, so I began to shoosh him off. But, alas, no need, because a second later he bolted off the desk, shrieking in terror. I nearly died of a heart attack at his screech, thinking, what the hell just happened? Then I realized that his white tail was brown. And my coffee was no longer creamy, but rather chunky.

He stuck his tail in my coffee cup during my conference call. Call Mensa, folks, we have a brain surgeon kitty on our hands here.

The next few minutes were spent ah-ha-ing and ah-hum-ing into the phone while I grabbed the cat and mopped off his tail with a wet paper towel. The call ended around 8:15, and then I was able to survey the destruction that Hurricane Casper hath wrought upon our condo. I also took my 9 am conference call at home, since I finished bathing him around 8:40 and took another call in between. That was my Friday. No surprise I cracked open one of my woot offerings that night once I got home from work.

On to more kitty news--the wonderful, fabulous Cara hair substitute? Cat grass! Yay to Cindy for guessing correctly.

Mmmm, tastes like Mommy hair!

Duuude, I love the grass.
